Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1378 of 23 June 2026 amends the conditions of use and the specifications of the already authorised novel food Jatropha curcas L. (edible variety) kernels (Chuta): flour and paste forms, maxima 5→30 g/100 g, fat 54–64%. Exclusivity for extended uses to Chuta Nut GmbH from 14 Jul 2026 to 14 Jul 2031. EFSA opinion e9706 assesses safety — it is not the market authorisation. No food-supplement category in the Annex.

Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/386 of 20 February 2026 authorises defatted rapeseed powder as a novel food and amends Union list 2017/2470. Authorised from 15 March 2026. Designation: "defatted rapeseed powder". Maxima include bakery 20 g/100 g, pasta 10, supplements 10 g/day (≥10 years). Labelling: do not combine supplement with other DRP-containing foods the same day; mustard allergy. Data protection for NapiFeryn BioTech Sp. z o.o. until 15 March 2031.

Designation: “Rhizomucor pusillus mycelium”. Maxima include breakfast cereals 30 g/100 g, bars 35, drinks 10, supplements 6 g/day (excluding pregnant and lactating women; under-18 warning). The Protein Brewery B.V. data protection until 26 July 2031. Union-list entry under 2017/2470; data protection until 26 July 2031.

Designation: “inulin-propionate ester”. Cereal bars ≤17 g/100 g; fruit smoothies ≤3 g/100 ml. No food-supplement category in the annex. Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1306 of 11 June 2026 authorises rhamnogalacturonan-I enriched carrot extract (cRG-I) as a novel food and amends the Union list 2017/2470. Placing on the market from 2 July 2026. Labelling designation: “Rhamnogalacturonan-I carrot extract”. Food supplements ≤1 500 mg/day (above 3 years). NutriLeads data protection until 2 July 2031. The Commission rejected “fibre” because EFSA did not assess the dietary-fibre definition.

Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1427 of 2 July 2026 authorises one specific novel food — egg membrane hydrolysate (enzymatically produced) — and includes it in the Union list, in supplements ≤500 mg/day. This is not a general authorisation of every egg membrane hydrolysate. Ingredients-list name: “egg membrane hydrolysate”, not “collagen peptides” as the official designation.
